It repairs system restore so system restore can be enabled again. Some of the symptoms of this are that the System Restore Service will not start, complaining "path not found." after it the whole OS was in a complete disaster (couldn't do a thing). The "Restore/Enable system restore" doesn't download anything, therefore when I save it to a folder on my deskptop it doesn't run. I'm at my wits end! Deleted that virus everyone is taking about.

Is there anyway someone could send the file to me by email? Smitfraud caused a lot of problems for me. this time it loaded and at least I could see my desktop but since then i'm in some sort of semi safe mode - I cant do anything to files (copy,del,move) The main topic of this thread is that others cannot enable system restore.I think you might have a more serious problem as I have just doubled clicked on the file in
